Session Overview:

Key Stage 3:
These sessions help to prepare students in Year 7, 8 and 9 for their upcoming GCSE studies, by equipping them with the necessary foundations for reading and writing. However, it is important to ensure that learning these skills is still an engaging and stimulating process. For this reason, sessions are highly interactive and varied with a combination of English quizzes and games, in addition to standard literacy exercises.

Key Stage 4:
These sessions focus explicitly on exam skills; they are structured according to the examination board and specification that each student has been entered for (e.g. AQA, Eduqas, EdExcel).

 

Whether it's analysing poetry, Shakespeare, a pre/post 19th century text for Literature, or producing a piece of imaginative/persuasive writing for Language, these sessions will provide all the practice students need to feel successful in the run-up to their exams.

All sessions will be held online via Microsoft Teams; all resources will be provided and accessible remotely (any files used will also be shared with students following each session).
